Project Overview

National Geographic sought to launch a competition focused on marine protection, specifically targeting solutions to detect illegal fishing in near coastal communities. Collaborating with subject matter experts, we ensured the content and imagery were accurate and authentic. Additionally, it was important that the site’s look, feel, and user experience seamlessly extended the parent site’s brand identity, maintaining the distinctive essence of National Geographic.

Challenges

To align with National Geographic’s brand standards, I collaborated closely with multiple directors within the organization. Through these meetings, I ensured my design consistently met and upheld their stringent brand guidelines.

Unique Opportunities

One of the joys of this project was having access to NatGeo’s extensive library of images and videos. It was an incredible opportunity to use this rich content as a backdrop to enhance the design.
